EAR TRAINING

Interval Listening Lab

Hear two notes played one after the other. Identify how far the second note rises. The starting pitch varies so you can focus on the interval.

Identify the interval

Play the pair before choosing an answer.

Score 0 / 0

Try it with your own voice or instrument

  1. Play a pair, hum the first note, and then hum the second. If the two pitches feel close, try sliding between them slowly before singing each separately.
  2. Use Pitch Detector or Online Pitch Detector to see the note name you sang. Hold one steady pitch at a time.
  3. To compare frequency readings, try Voice Frequency Test. To check your starting pitch on a violin, play one open string at a time with Online Violin Tuner.

The exercise generates sound in your browser. It uses no microphone and does not record your answers.
